November 2008 Please keep a copy of these rules and conditions for your records. General Rules and Conditions
- Having stall at Figtree markets is conditional upon compliance with all Market Regulations.
- Trading is restricted to an advertised start time of 9.00am – 4.00pm `(3.30p.m. pack up for stallholders in Memorial Hall.)
- Figtree Markets Code of conduct includes:
A. Stallholders may not insult or intimidate other stallholders, customers or staff. Such action may result in cancellation of stall allocation. B. Customers shopping at Figtree markets ate entitled to be treated with courtesy and expect Fair Trading practice consistent with consumer law. - Stallholders must comply with all instructions of Market staff in carrying out their work.
- Stalls are rented to registered stallholders on a weekly basis.
- Figtree market stalls may not be transferred, sold or sublet.
- Stalls are to be operated on Market day by stallholders nominated on registration form.
- All stalls are to be completely set up by 9.00 am. Failure to comply may result in re-allocation of stall by management.
- Paying a stall fee dose not create any form of tenancy or imply a future right or licence.
- Stall allocation and fee charges are at the discretion of management.
- Payment may be made on-line at (www.figtreemarkets.com.au) using stallholder ID.
- Figtree markets are an open-air market that does trade in wet weather.
- Management reserve the right to cancel the market if weather conditions ate deemed too dangerous.
- Stallholders are required to removal all rubbish and materials from the site at close of trading.
- Stallholder chairs in Memorial Hall (Supplied) must be returned to designated storage areas.
Fees
- Stall fees are payable prior to Saturday trading either by money order, pay pal, credit card or on-line at www.figtreemarkets.com.au using stallholder ID.
- Proof of payment will be necessary to gain access to the site.
Products - Figtree Markets presents and promotes a platform for established and emerging artists and expects stallholders to operate within this ethos.
- All products sold at Figtree Markets require management approval prior to being offered for sale at the markets.
- Some products may be declined in sensitivity to local business.
- Figtree Markets seeks to enhance retail activity for local business, and offer another way to promote their products/services. Some local business will be represented as stallholders.
- Figtree Markets management requires notification of ANY changes to approved product.
- All products must comply with relevant safety and compliance standards.
Presentation and stall set up
- Stall display should present a creative and professional image of both Figtree Markets and the product concerned.
- All stall must be completely set up by 9.00 am.
- Public access MUST be kept clear at all times with all merchandise, equipment and signs etc kept within stall boundaries.
- All stall equipment shall be firmly secured to protect personal and public safety.
- No permanent hanging device may be attached to memorial hall or any council property.
- Stallholder tables should be in good repair and have rubber stoppers on all legs to ensure no scratching/ damage to Memorial Hall floors or Council thoroughfares.
- No electrical cables may be run without consent of Market management. All leads must be tagged and council inspected prior to approval with Market management.
Access and Unloading - Only stallholders with payment up to date will be permitted on site on Market day.
- Unloading from 7.00am will be allowed for approved stallholders only.
- Trading is restricted to advertised hours of Figtree markets.
Parking and Traffic - Stallholders must observe all parking and traffic regulations.
- Please consider local residents and members of the public and respect their premises and property.
- No parking in Park Street or Pittwater Road after unloading to assist local business and customers.
Cancellation
- To cancel a stall booking please call market office (02) 8230 0773 message service – 24 hours.
- Full rental will be charged for stalls cancelled after 5.00 pm Thursday.
Insurance - All insurance and licence must be updated annually and copies of these documents forwarded to market management to update stallholder files.
- $ 10 million Public Liability Insurance is compulsory for all stalls.
- $ 10 million Product Insurance is compulsory for all Skin Care and consumable products.
- Workers Compensation and other licences and insurances are the full responsibility of the stallholder.
Figtree Markets reserves the right to amend these Rules and Regulations as required. Please abide by these Rules and Regulations to ensure a successful market.
